Apparently, the new (or old) popular trend with young Singaporeans are old-school kopitiam breakfast: kaya toast, poached eggs and kopi. The bread is toasted perfectly, the kaya is rich and the butter is decadent.
Really kaya goodness, can see the kaya "overflowing". Did you get bottles of Ya Kun kaya in your luggage? Then can make own Ya Kun toast in the US. :p But US coffee is so different from kopitiam coffee. Those indonesian coffee beans are usually roasted with corn syrup so the aroma of coffee is entirely different from Starbucks!
