Cream Cheese Wontons

Honestly, I don't think I've ever eaten cream cheese wontons until I moved to the U.S. I never realized how easy they were to make! I used scallops instead of crab (or imitation crab meat). Bay scallops work great because of their short cooking time. I just mixed cream cheese with chopped up scallops, enclosed them in wonton wrappers, and fried them up. The whole process took less than 15 minutes. It's a fantastic, simple appetizer.
